What’s new in sports?

In this blog post I will talk about some lacrosse and NBA stuff.                                          If you did not know, the college lacrosse tournament is going on. Over the weekend there was a lot of lacrosse.  We got to see a big rival play: Maryland vs Towson, Duke vs Richmond, and Peen St. vs UMBC and that game was a complete blow out by Peen St. who is also is the number one seed in the tournament, with Duke at the number two seed, and Virginia at the number 3 seed.  In the Loyola/ MD game, Loyola played Syracuse. Loyola beat Syracuse which was an upset and Loyola came back from being down three goals. Loyola also has the best ranked player in the U.S but next year he will play basketball! Which is a big surprise because he could be playing professional but he decided to play basketball for a year.

 

On Sunday the 76ers played the Raptors. The series was tied three to three. The past few weekends the Raptors have been playing great that also goes the same for the 76ers. Both teams were on a wining run. One but one of the teams will lose there wining run and will also lose the season and any hopes of wining the Champion ship…

Most of the game it was close one team would pull away but then another team would catch up. Close to the end the the 76ers were down two. One of the 76ers players drove in lost it but then quickly grabbed it and shot and got fouled. He had two shots and he made the first and made the second. The game all tied up there was a few seconds left on the clock enough to get the ball down the court and get a good shot up. And that is what they did but not only did they get a good shot the they made the game selling buzzer beater.
